I have discovered one thing about homeschooling that is different from the public schools.... I missed getting some little cute craft with my child's picture in it that was made a school for Mother's Day. So we do not have a craft for this year, as I felt it was a little strange to ask them to make something for me, LOL! My husband's side of the family doesn't make a big to do about Mother's Day or any other day for that matter... so there was not even a single phone call about the special day and he forgot all about it even being Mother's Day and only remembered when I reminded him he should call his own mom and wisher her a happy day!!! That's OK though. I had my kids and husband and the day was spent watching the kids play while relaxing on the front porch.
The next two days involved more relaxing on the porch and watching kids swim, ride bikes, etc.
Two days off work (Mon. and Tues.) was cool to say the least! And the kids were so happy. But tomorrow is back to work...
